Ambassador Profile: Tanya Williams

We’ve been extremely lucky to have the talented and super-connected Tanya Williams as our first ambassador in Brisbane. In her role, Tanya has explored the fine act of balancing life, lunched with innovative babes in business, celebrated with UN Women Australia on International Women’s Day and spent an evening drinking wine in the company of women with issues and big girls’ panties.

No wonder she got SPANKed.

Why did you want to be part of woman.com.au?

I was keen to be part of a network of women who wanted to share and inspire others.   I love hearing other womens stories, am inspired by positive, strong women who are passionate about life and living it to the fullest.

Tell us about your journey so far – how did you get to where you are today?

Having lived in many regional areas around Australia, I settled in Brisbane in 2005 and have never looked back.  I love networking and meeting people that are genuine, selfless and embrace life.  I believe that life takes you on various paths to meet certain people that touch your life when the moment is right.   I think I have become wiser and smarter over the years.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt?

Be honest, genuine and surround yourself with positive and like-minded people.

What’s your big, hairy, audacious goal?

To have it all – be top of my career, have loads of positive and fabulous friends around me, travel constantly, have a huge bank balance, be healthy and happy and to do it in four inch heels.  I’m getting closer and closer…

What drives you?

I am naturally a driven person and have always pushed myself to achieve goals. I am intrigued by women that have the courage to create, follow their dream and are not afraid to find creative solutions to problems or to think outside the square.  I believe that if you want something you’ve never had before then you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.

My philosophy is to never let anyone ever dull your sparkle!
