You started out and rose in the fashion blogging scene before many people knew what blogging was about, what was the biggest challenge you faced?
You know, I never really thought about it in terms of challenges, I just got on with the job of doing it. It was really hard to make the switch from blogging as a hobby to full time work, and if I had to, I’d say that the biggest challenge has been shaping peoples perception about what I do and why I should be paid to do it.
What have been the recent highlights in your blogging career?
Last year I conceptualised and helped to organise Fashionopolis, Australia’s first ever national blogging forum. We flew in fashion bloggers from all over Australia for a day of networking and discussion and had some amazing panellists who spoke about all things fashion blogging. It was EPIC and I’m really looking forward to what it will bring about in 2013.
What do you expect to see in the Australian fashion scene this year?
What’s next for you?
I’ve just moved agencies, which has been one of the best things I’ve done in 6 years blogging. Lifestyle Media Group (LMG) have some amazing things planned for me content wise this year.
I’m hopefully moving into a studio with plenty of natural light, which will make taking my photos easier and not reliant on the weather(!), I’m hiring an intern and going to New York in May for 4 weeks.
Aside from that it’s just you know, the usual, world domination.
The photos on her blog are so delicious, we’ve created a slideshow gallery of some of our favourites.
