A former tax accountant, Karina Waters fell into a life in France with the wondrous decision to purchase a crumbling château. She and her husband now spend time in a rural French village, taking photos and writing, in-between managing a massive restoration project. Unlocking the gates to Château de Gudanes opened her world beyond the limits of Perth, Australia. Karina is a wife and mother of two children whose lives now revolve around a château. Every day is full of surprises, discoveries and adventure.

 

 

Karina shares her epic journey from humble accountant to self-appointed CEO of Chateau de Gudanes Restoration – a Class 1 Historic Monument in the south of France, the explosive growth of followers from around the world, the challenges of this colossal project and the realities of chasing a big dream on the other side of the world.
