Go See: Melissani Cave, Kefalonia, Greece

Melissani cave is a magical little place surrounded by forests located on the island of Kefalonia, Greece.  It has been hidden away undiscovered for centuries until 1951 by Giannis Petrocheilos. The cave is 100 meters long and the lake takes about one third of its length. The brackish water rises from a 30m deep cave system on one side and flows to the other end of the cave.
