Workspace: Beautiful coworking space for women in business
She Will Shine is a community for women in business who have a vision for their business and are making it a reality. From coworking to workshops, accountability sessions and online resources, they facilitate connections, support and learning needed to stay focused, to gain confidence and to take businesses further. We had a chat with She Will Shine founder Danielle Price about the beautiful workspace she has created.
Robelen: You’ve recently moved into new premises, which is your very own coworking space.
Danielle: Our new coworking space is within our She Will Shine HQ. It’s located 5 kilometres from Melbourne CBD, along the banks of the Maribyrnong River in Footscray within the creative hub that is the Docklands Cotton Mills. It’s an escape from the home workspace and represents the warmth and freedom of being a woman in business. It’s got personality. It’s not formal or stuffy. It’s positive and inspiring, and is perfectly aligned with our She Will Shine community. Yes there is a workspace to focus on getting the job done, but there’s also a lounge zone to encourage relaxed conversations and genuine connections. The space is also easily converted to a boardroom/workshop setup when required. What I love most is that it is a real community hub, our regular She Will Shine events occur within this space and our members are able to make use of it as their own. It’s a beautiful space to work, to have fresh flowers on your desk and to focus and enjoy your day. You can even get some sunshine and enjoy a walk along the Maribyrnong River trail on your lunch break.
Robelen: How are you different to other coworking spaces?
Danielle: She Will Shine HQ is unlike any other Coworking space in Melbourne as it’s women only. It’s an extension of our all-female business community. A shared work environment where our members are able to come together and step away from home distractions and the feelings of isolation.
